Copyright and DMCA Takedown Requests
KickClips does not host, store or upload any video. When someone uses the tool, their browser fetches the clip directly from Kick, and the file is not sent to our servers. This page explains where to send a copyright complaint and what we can do. It is general information and not legal advice.
To remove a clip, contact Kick
Because the clip itself lives on Kick, only Kick can take it down at the source. Kick publishes a DMCA policy and describes its handling of copyright reports in a help center article on the DMCA strike system. According to those pages, a notice goes to Kick's designated agent, and Kick reviews it and may remove infringing content. Please read the current instructions on Kick's pages and use the contact details given there.
If the clip is removed or made non-public on Kick, our tool will no longer be able to download it, because it only fetches what Kick serves.
Contacting us
You can also write to us at [email protected]. If you are a rights holder, or someone authorized to act for one, please include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
- The URL of the Kick clip (for example
https://kick.com/<channel>/clips/clip_XXXX) and, if relevant, the KickClips page where you found it. - Your contact details: name, company or role if you act as an agent, postal address, email address, and phone number if you wish.
- A good-faith statement that you believe the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- An accuracy statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner of the right or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your signature, physical or electronic.
Typical notice requirements are described in Kick's own policy, which is a useful model. Incomplete notices are harder for anyone to act on.
What we may do
We have no videos to remove. What we may be able to do, depending on the request, is to consider blocking a specific clip ID from being processed by the tool. We may also contact you for more information. We cannot promise a particular outcome or timeline, and we cannot remove a clip from Kick or from copies someone has already saved on their own device.
Counter-notices
Because KickClips hosts no content, there is no content of ours to restore, so a counter-notice process does not apply to us. If a creator on Kick believes their content was removed by mistake, Kick's help center describes its own counter-notification process.
Misuse of this process
Please send only accurate, good-faith requests. Knowingly false claims can have legal consequences for the sender, and we may ignore requests that look abusive, automated or unrelated to copyright. In the United States, for example, the DMCA contains penalties for material misrepresentations in notices.
