This policy explains what happens to personal data when you visit kickclips.cz or use the clip downloader. It is written in plain language and is general information, not legal advice. Last updated: 2026-10-27.

Who is responsible

The controller for this website is:

The operator of kickclips.cz (KickClips), contactable at [email protected]. If you need the operator's full legal details for a data-protection request, write to that address and we will provide them.

You can reach us at [email protected]. See also the contact page.

Short version

  • There are no accounts and no sign-up.
  • When you use the downloader, your browser talks to Kick directly. The clip file and the link you paste are not uploaded to or stored on KickClips servers.
  • Like almost every website, the web server and Cloudflare keep normal technical logs.
  • The site does not currently set cookies of its own and does not use advertising or analytics.
  • If that changes, we will update this page and ask for consent where the law requires it.

What happens when you use the downloader

You paste the link of a public Kick clip and press Download. The page's code then runs in your browser, which requests the clip's information and video directly from Kick. If Kick has to deliver the clip in several pieces, your browser joins them into one MP4 on your own device. We do not receive the clip, and we do not receive or save the link you pasted.

Because your browser connects to Kick, Kick receives your request, including technical data such as your IP address, in the same way as when you watch a clip on kick.com. How Kick handles that data is described in Kick's own privacy policy, and we have no control over it.

Data collected through normal server operation

When you visit any page, your browser sends standard technical information to the web server: your IP address, the date and time, the pages requested, the browser's user agent and referrer, and the response status. This is processed by our hosting provider and by Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site as a content delivery network and security service. The logs are used to deliver pages, keep the site secure, detect abuse and fix errors.

We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and securing the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long the logs are kept depends on the settings of the hosting provider and Cloudflare, and we do not use them to identify individual visitors or to build profiles.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site does not currently set cookies of its own, and we do not run advertising or analytics scripts. Cloudflare may use technical cookies or similar mechanisms for security or performance purposes. These are not controlled by us, and you can read about them in Cloudflare's own documentation.

If we later add analytics, advertising or other tools that use cookies or local storage, we will update this policy and show a consent request before they run where the law requires it.

When you contact us

If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to read and answer your message, and we keep it for as long as needed to deal with the matter and any follow-up. Please do not send passwords or sensitive information. The same applies to copyright notices sent to us; see the copyright and takedown page.

Who else is involved

PartyRoleWhat it sees
KickSource of the clip dataYour browser's request for the clip when you use the downloader
CloudflareCDN and securityVisits to our site, including IP address and request data
Our web hosting provider (the server that hosts kickclips.cz)Hosts the websiteStandard server logs

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they are responsible for using an appropriate legal mechanism for the transfer. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights under the GDPR

If the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have data erased in certain cases;
  • restrict processing in certain cases;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • receive certain data in a portable format.

To exercise a right, email [email protected]. We may need to verify who you are. Because we do not keep accounts and do not link the logs to individuals, there may be little we can look up, and some data sits with our providers or with Kick.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, ÚOOÚ), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, website: uoou.gov.cz. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you can contact the authority in your own country.

Children

The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We will update this policy when the site changes, for example if ads or analytics are added. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Related pages: terms of use and about.
